
Dr. Kilby Townshend, B.Sc., D.D.S. grew up on a potato farm outside of Souris, Prince Edward Island. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University, and graduated from Dalhousie Dental School in 1991.
After graduation, Kilby married Dr. Daniel Albert, and they travelled together to Lahr, Germany — where Dr. Albert was serving in the Canadian Forces and Kilby worked full time at the CFB Lahr Civilian Dental Clinic. She also enjoyed meeting new friends, biking, traveling, and learning to ski.

After graduating from École Sainte-Anne, he received his Health Sciences diploma from the University of Moncton. In 1989, he graduated from Dalhousie Dental School — earning a university medal for the highest standing in the four years of dental school.
While attending Dalhousie Dental School, Daniel joined the Canadian Forces. After graduation, he married Dr. Kilby Townshend and was posted to Lahr, Germany.
Read MoreDr. Vivian Khouri, B.Sc., D.D.S. grew up in nearby Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. She attended Dalhousie University as a biology major and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. She continued on to study at the Dalhousie Dental School, earning her dentistry degree in 2003. She began practicing as a dentist in a hospital clinic in the small outport community of Twillingate, Newfoundland. Although a rich and rewarding start to her career, Vivian was drawn back to her home province three years later to join Dr. Townshend and Dr. Albert at Hammond Dental Centre.
Read MoreDr. Charles Lee, B.Sc., D.D.S. was born in Seoul, South Korea, but grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Charles first completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University. He then went on to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie in 2019. After graduating, Charles practiced for one year in Lunenburg and Tantallon, Nova Scotia. These experiences provided him with an excellent clinical experience in both rural and metropolitan settings.

At Hammond Dental Centre, we believe strongly in the importance of preventative dentistry. We have five dental assistants and six dental hygienists. They are all very knowledgeable and will aid in patient education.
